Dome Glacier, Jasper National Park

The Dome Glacier is one of six glaciers that flow from the Columbia Icefield. The Dome Glacier's larger more famous neighbour, the Athabasca Glacier, is just out of site to the left. To give you a sense of scale, the cliffs to the left of the glacier are 333 metres (1000 ft) high. This Late August photograph was taken from the Icefields Parkway, the highway connecting Lake Louise, Alberta to Jasper, Alberta.
